Editing Wikipedia Makes Me Feel Stupid

The Summary

• Every user in this study struggled to get a basic grasp of the editing interface. Despite users' overall excitement about Wikipedia, they largely failed to make edits correctly. Users repeatedly commented that they had "no idea" or "no clue" what they were looking at, or what they were doing.

Can't See What it Looks Like

The Summary

• The vast majority of users pulled up another instance of the Wikipedia page they were editing in order to see what it "really" looked like. Provide users a live preview of what the page looks like as the user edits it.
